About Me

Ibrahim Tanner

I am Ibrahim and I believe that we all have a story to tell. I believe that there are many ways we can share a story that is important to us as individuals and that one of those way is photography.

Over the years I have noticed the joy that old photos can bring to people. They share our history, our lives and the things which are important to us. Bring out an old photo album and watch the family gather and begin to share their memories of the people and places held within it pages. It is a magical experience to be involved in and to observe.

I have a BA in Health Studies with Psychology and a BSc. in Adult Nursing. In my work for the NHS I have been involved in digital storytelling. I have been trained by the Story Centre of Canada, The University of Wales and a former Sky News and BBC reporter and presenter Nicola Hill, because I feel we all have a story to tell and because I want to help people capture and tell their own story. I am also about to undertake an MA in Photography at the University of Falmouth.

The value of a photograph cannot be underestimated, it connects with us in so many ways and I hope that my photography connects with you in some way.
